The Greensboro District was the neighborhood of
choice for merchants and civic leaders in the 1860s.
Houses reflect Victorian, Tudor-revival and Craftsman
style architecture
Nash Street Historic District
The Nash St Historic District is Starkville's earliest unchanged
subdivision with architecture from the 1930s
and 1940s. It includes Tudor-revival, Craftsman and
Colonial Revival style architecture and was once known
as the Garden District
Overstreet Historic District
The Overstreet Historic District features houses from
ornate Queen Anne to Folk, Victorian, Colonial Revival
& mid-20th century Craftsman and Bungalow styles.
Occasional cook's houses or smokehouses can be
seen behind the main houses and are reminders of another
era. The Overstreet Elementary School was
erected in 1894.
