HIGHWAYS
U.S. Highway 82 and State Highways 12, 25, and 389 traverse Oktibbeha County. On completion of a major highway improvements project in 2001, Highways 82 and 45 (8 miles) will provide four-lane, limited access east-west and north-south routes to Memphis, Birmingham, Jackson (MS), Atlanta, New Orleans, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast (Port of Gulfport).

Interstate 55 (North-South) is 60 miles West of Starkville via U.S. Highway 82

Interstate 20 (East-West) is 90 miles South of Starkville via US Highway 45 or 90 miles East of Starkville via US Highway 82
