  THE ARTS

Support for the Arts is strong in Starkville. That makes it easy for tourists to be able to enjoy something cultural every time they visit.

While in Starkville, you can attend a performance by the Starkville Community Theater Company in their newly renovated downtown auditorium or one of the MSU Department of Communication's award-winning productions. For performance information, contact the theater. 108 E. Main Street. 662.323.6855 • website

If visual art is more to your taste, stop by the MSU Department of Art Gallery in McComas Hall, which showcases exhibitions of regional and national scope. Hours vary, so please call ahead. 662.325.2970

The Department of Music Education always provides the community with a variety of concerts performed by their distinguished faculty, and the Starkville-MSU Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, now in its 30th season, has a yearly concert series that is sure to please.

It is the popular Lyceum Series through MSU that brings all the Fine Arts together. With innovative programming, this series presents the finest to Starkville throughout the school year. 662.325.4201 • website
