The MSU Diagnostic
Instrumentation and Analysis Laboratory was completed
in early 1998. This 54,000 square foot, $8.8 million facility is
used to develop advanced diagnostic instruments and techniques to
measure thermal and chemical parameters in combustion systems. DIAL
also conducts research for the Department of Energy to analyze combustion
and chemical processes used in cleaning up the environment. A one-of-a-kind
