Snap Fitness is a 24/7 franchise locally owned by Jack Riekhof. Jack was born and raised in Starkville, MS and attended Mississippi State University. Upon graduating, he relocated to Alabama where he was a medical device sales representative. After six years in the medical sales industry, he realized his goal was to follow in his father’s footsteps as a small business owner. Jack researched several franchises and decided to open a Snap Fitness. He quickly realized his hometown of Starkville would be the perfect fit! The gym was opened in January of 2008. Since then Snap Fitness has been operating 24/7 365 days a year. Snap Fitness was the first gym in Starkville to offer a “no contract” 24/7 fitness option to the community. The business started small and expanded two times during the first three years of business. One of the goals of Snap Fitness is to offer a new and exciting fitness option each year. This past year, Fitness On Demand was added to one of the cardio rooms. Fitness On Demand is a cardio class theater that allows members to choose form one of over 50 different class offerings 24/7, including everything from Yoga to Bootcamp. Members can also enjoy personal training from Tom Campbell Fitness and Jim Tompkins Fitness. In addition, Snap Fitness provides state of the art equipment along with personal televisions on the cardio equipment. Jack’s goal for the gym has been to provide a convenient place for all types of people to come exercise and feel comfortable in the environment.
