Partnership task teams/committees provide a great way to become involved and meet people with similar interests and talents and apply their professional skills and knowledge. Many of our members are engaged in efforts that build a stronger, more prosperous business climate for our community.

Ambassadors
Our Ambassadors represent the Partnership and recognize and promote businesses in our community and educate members and prospective members about the benefits available through membership.
Communications & Marketing
Develop a strategic communications plan to assist in achieving targets and goals while promoting efforts and successes both internally and externally
Community Appearance
Serves as a resource for increasing awareness of the importance of a clean and attractive community and coordinates beautification projects for the Starkville area
Community/University Relations
Enhance and capitalize on collaborative community/university relations that create a teamwork approach on projects that are mutually beneficial from idea to implementation
Cultural & Heritage Tourism
Assist and coordinate efforts in conducting research, gathering data, inventorying and developing efforts in regards to cultural and heritage sites and events for tourism development in Starkville.
Education
Unite business and industry with the educational sector by launching initiatives and programs to support local educators and students
Existing Industry Support
Continue and enhance processes designed to support business retention and expansion for existing industries
Governmental Affairs
Develop mutually beneficial relationships among local, state, and national government
Local Incentives
Develop an incentives policy to ensure competitiveness in business and industry recruitment
Military Affairs
Provides support to local, regional and visiting military units through appreciation events and recognition programs
Property Development/Speculative Building
Develop one or more incubator facilities adjacent to or near MSU for companies in the targeted industry sectors and others; support expansion of the Research Park; address lack of infrastructure at Cornerstone; and develop a land acquisition plan
Retirement Development
Enhance the retirement program by showcasing it as an industry tied to MSU
Small Business Development
Provide support for initiatives/professional development and a mechanism by which small businesses can discuss issues of concern
Starkville Young Professionals
Aid in the development of Starkville’s young professionals by social networking/relationship building, professional development/training, civic engagement/community service and local charity support
The Forum
Enhancing the leadership skills of community and business leaders stimulates dynamic, outside-the-box thinking and increased civic involvement; challenged with the overall direction of The Forum, Oktibbeha County’s Leadership Development program as it relates to the following: (1) program development (2) sponsor solicitation (3) participant recruitment and (4) sustainability and involvement of alumni affairs
Workforce Development
Develop a world class K-12 educational system in Starkville and Oktibbeha County by helping to create and nurture an environment that supports a highly skilled and trained workforce necessary for business attraction, creation, expansion, and retention
