In the late 1990s, a visionary group of
leaders put together a plan to fund a new community and economic development
approach to ensure a prosperous future for Starkville and Oktibbeha County.
The plan recommended that the resources of volunteer leadership, staff,
ideas, economy, energy and efforts of the key organizations involved in
growing the area be brought together into one force, having one voice and
one mission. As a result, the Partnership was born in April of 2001 and
has been actively involved in every aspect of community progress through
a dedicated and motivated membership who want only the best for the Greater
Starkville area. To ensure that this area prospers and their businesses
can reap the rewards, they are willing to give their time and money to this
organization.
The Committee of 100 consists of those that give at least $500
over and above the basic annual membership rate. These 80+ members are not
only the top contributors to the Partnership's mission, they also represent
the top businesses and individuals whose commitment and concern for this
area's bright future is unequalled. If not for their vision, enthusiasm
and continued support, the Partnership would not exist.

of 100 receive our e-View weekly e-mail update, in addition to
quarterly reports and an invitation to Members-Only Investor Events designed
to keep investors updated on the latest projects and trends in Oktibbeha
County.
