MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY
A full-color community living directory/guide, produced every two years, is distributed to thousands of members, businesses, hotel guests, visitors and new residents annually. Partnership members are listed alphabetically as well as by classified category. This exposure provides high visibility to potential customers. Display advertising is also available to members.
INTERNET EXPOSURE
A business directory of our members is listed on our website, giving them worldwide free exposure. Members that have existing websites can be hyperlinked to the Partnership's free of charge. Advertising spots are also available on the website (seen by approximately 12,000 people per month).
THE VIEW NEWSLETTER
The View is printed quarterly and distributed to approximately 1,000 members, newcomers, visitors and prospective businesses. New members are profiled through special events and listings. All members are encouraged to submit stories about their business/organization, giving further exposure. Advertising in the newsletter is available.
GRAND OPENINGS / RIBBON CUTTINGS
These ceremonies increase visibility for new or expanding businesses and are provided through our office. Key city and county officials are notified and invited to attend. Post-event publicity is provided in The View and area newspapers.
MEMBER SPONSORSHIPS
High visibility and advertising value is offered to members who sponsor a Partnership event such as a Power Breakfast, Business After Hours, Annual Banquet, and others. As event sponsors, the business name is prominently displayed and promoted.
NEW STUDENT PROMOTIONS
The Partnership provides packets with members' flyers and brochures to approximately 2,500 new university students each year. Capture this market when they first arrive!
MEDIA COVERAGE
New members are featured in the local media through hosting an open house, grand openings or ribbon cuttings.
BUSINESS AFTER HOURS
This monthly networking opportunity allows members to host an after-hours event to showcase their business to all members. Business After Hours is held the 3rd Thursday of each month from 5:30-7 p.m. Attend and bring your business cards to solicit business from other members and to enjoy a relaxed social time with refreshments and door prizes. No other organization can provide networking opportunities quite like ours!
POWER BREAKFASTS
Regular breakfasts are held to address community and statewide issues. Corporate sponsorships are available.
COMMITTEES
This is where you can get involved in specific efforts that match your specific interests. Join any of our outstanding committees, all working to make our area and your opportunities better.
BLUE RIBBON BUSINESS SEMINARS
Sponsored by members for members to provide education on various issues such as basic computer skills, advertising and marketing, customer service and many other valuable topics.
MAILING LABELS
Complete mailing information of nearly 500 Starkville area businesses which are members of the Partnership on ready-to-use labels or as a electronic list, allowing you to develop a database of business prospects. Chamber members pay $35 for an Excel list available by email or $50 for white adhesive labels. These are only available to active members and are not available to the general public.
PROMOTIONAL DISPLAYS
Members only are allowed to display their business cards and promotional brochures in the Partnership office, which gives you exposure to hundreds of walk-ins each year.
TAX DEDUCTIBILITY
Membership investments are 100% deductible as a necessary business expense.
RESOURCE CENTER
Information resources are available at the Partnership office. From community demographics, local and area phone directories, community calendar, maps, lists of civic organizations and major employers, industrial directory, and apartment guides are available for your reference. Call us! We have or can find the answers to almost any question you may have about our area.
