Shop Starkville:

Shop Starkville is a promotional campaign launched by the Greater
Starkville Development Partnership and the Small Business Development
Committee to encourage Starkville area residents and visitors to look in
Starkville first for all their shopping needs. The program aims to
inform consumers about the wide variety of products and services
available in Starkville and promote the many benefits of spending money
in the local economy whenever possible.

Businesses which are members of the Greater Starkville Development
Partnership automatically are participants of the Shop Starkville
campaign. These businesses will receive Shop Starkville window decals
for their businesses to promote the concept of looking local first, and
also to advertise their support of this program to their customer base.

Businesses who are not Partnership members will also benefit from the
community wide campaign to keep more spending at home.

The Shop Starkville program will also spotlight individual participating
businesses in a variety of ways:

Educational campaign: The Shop Starkville program is a broad
campaign to educate the community on the benefits of supporting the
local economy. Printed materials will be distributed describing
benefits, such as supporting our local tax base, ensuring impeccable
customer service before, during and after the sales transaction and
unsurpassed convenience.
