What’s hot in soups this year? Will it be turnip greens? Edam cheese? Mango chicken? YOU get to decide this Saturday during the 2015 SOUPer Bowl!
It may be chilly outside, but inside, the chili, chowder and chicken noodle are sure to warm up your tastebuds. The annual SOUPer Bowl taste-off will be held on Saturday at STAGgerIN Sports Grill on Maxwell Street from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year, the showcase of soup delights will feature nine of your favorite local restaurants and their original recipes. Ticket holders will have the opportunity to sample each soup and cast their votes on the top three! In addition, Starkville Young Professionals board members will award the coveted Best in Show award for best overall presentation.
Tickets are available in advance from SYP members, at the Partnership office or online — $15 for advance tickets and $20 at the door. If you’re purchasing at the door, bring a can to donate to a local food bank and get $5 off one adult ticket. Tickets for children under 12 are $5. We can’t wait to celebrate winter’s newest favorite recipes on Saturday, so don’t miss it!
