The award recognizes community service and outstanding civic contributions by an individual to Starkville and Oktibbeha County. This year’s recipient will be recognized at the Partnership Annual Banquet on January 31, 2023.

Nominations for the award may be made by either organizations or individuals. This form lists the criteria for nomination and former recipients. We hope you or members of your organization know someone deserving of such recognition and will submit a nomination.

Please submit 10–15 digital photographs along with the letter of nomination as outlined by the criteria below.

Criteria for Selection

To be considered for the award, nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • Dedicated to service above self
  • Continued involvement in community affairs
  • Community involvement must enhance the common good of Starkville/Oktibbeha County in a meaningful way
  • Work should be of an altruistic, voluntary nature
  • Service should be clearly identifiable as worthwhile for community betterment

Letters of nomination should be specific in listing the contributions and activities that would qualify this person for the T.E. Veitch award as outlined in the above criteria. Describe, in your own words, why you believe this individual embodies civic involvement and community service and deserves to be considered for the T.E. Veitch Community Service Award.
