Realtor, Starkville Properties
Libby has been an ambassador for Greater Starkville Development Partnership for nearly 17 years. She is a realtor with Starkville Properties.
Being an ambassador has given Libby the opportunity to meet so many interesting people who have invested their heart, soul, and capital in our community. She says, “To be able to congratulate them and let them know that The Partnership is interested in the success of their venture is my favorite thing about being an ambassador.”
As an ambassador, she has enjoyed every ribbon cutting she’s been able to attend. She has always enjoyed Business After Hours and is looking forward to a time that we can resume some type of regular in-person networking event.
Libby’s first job was with Southern Bell in Jackson at 18 years old. She retired 38 years later in Atlanta. Even after retirement, she took a spot with Advanced Systems and contracted back with BellSouth until she moved to Starkville in 2002. She found that she did not like being retired. So after some research, she decided that real estate sales might be a good career option for her current point in life. She enjoys helping young people make the largest financial decision of their life. “It has been more of a challenge than I expected, but it has also been very rewarding in ways that I did not expect. I’ve met so many great people,” she says.
