Mary Jane Runnels

Mary Jane has been an ambassador for Greater Starkville Development Partnership for over 6 years and loves “the relationships with fellow ambassadors and meeting new people in Starkville and making them feel welcome!”

Her first real job was selling advertising for the Northside Sun Newspaper in Jackson, Mississippi. Now, Mary Jane is a sales associate at Starkville Dispatch.

As an ambassador, she has been to many ribbon cuttings, but her favorite ribbon cuttings are “the ones where they invite other people and have food!” Her favorite saying is, “A smile is contagious!” Mary Jane has worked at a chamber of commerce herself! “I have worked at a chamber of commerce before and I lived in a number of different communities, where my husband and I have been involved.
