Director, Starkville-Oktibbeha County Public Library
Phillip is the director for the Starkville-Oktibbeha County Public Library System and has been a Starkville resident since February of 2020. He believes that building stronger community partnerships build stronger local economies and a better quality of life for all residents. He also believes the library can be – and should – be at the heart of that community.
“I’ve known I wanted to live in Starkville for decades.” Phillip says. “I was born in Clarksdale and have lived all over the state of Mississippi but knew that Starkville was where I wanted to call my Mississippi home. I’ve always believed that this community is special and working with the wonderful people and groups here through the library has validated that belief.”
Phillip believes strongly in the work the Partnership is doing to build better and stronger relationships and partnerships among all entities that call Starkville home. It’s this collaborative spirit that makes Starkville the best town to live in here and Mississippi and what will drive its success in the future.
