Golden Triangle Leaders Accepting Applications

A local leadership organization is now accepting applications for the 2018-2019 year.

Formed by the Greater Starkville Development Partnership, Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce and the Growth Alliance, Golden Triangle Leaders is an adult leadership program designed to bring the leaders of the Golden Triangle together in order to strengthen the bond and development between all three community regions.

Partnership Director of Membership Hunter Harrington said, “The Partnership is encouraging all interested community members to apply for this unique program.”
Harrington said the opportunities available from the program serve to strengthen area development and business opportunities.

Selected applicants participate in eight sessions from October until May ending with a graduation in June.

Sessions may cover team building, community development, economic development, industry, education, government, media and leadership training, and sessions will be tailored to the needs of the group.

Each session is designed to offer a comprehensive, interactive experience for the participants and will allow them to learn about pertinent issues within the region, have networking opportunities with business leaders, and gain further knowledge about the Golden Triangle community.

Brad Jones, Commercial Relationship Officer with Renasant Bank and Golden Triangle Leaders graduate said, “The program is a great opportunity to network and get to know so many leaders throughout the Golden Triangle.”

Jones said the variety of sessions and networking opportunities he experienced created several community connections and business partners.

Cost of the program is $500, and applications will be accepted until August 20. To learn more information about Golden Triangle Leaders, contact Hunter Harrington at the Partnership at 662-323-3322.

The Partnership is comprised of the Starkville Area Chamber of Commerce, Oktibbeha County Economic Development Authority, Starkville Convention and Visitors Bureau and The Starkville Main Street Association.
