GSDP Hosts OCH Referendum Forum

On Wednesday, October 11, 2017 the Greater Starkville Development Partnership hosted an informational forum at the Greensboro Center regarding the upcoming OCH Regional Medical Center referendum vote on November 7.

Scott Maynard, CEO of the Partnership said, “Our goal is to provide an educational forum where both sides have an opportunity to answer questions and clear up any misconceptions that might exist in voters’ minds.”

Maynard added, “We want to present the facts so everyone understands all aspects of the supervisors RFP, as well as OCH Regional Medical Center’s position on the sale.”

Maynard noted that quality healthcare is one of the key components individuals and businesses seek when evaluating a community. Adding that, “It is vitally important to our continued growth and success.”

Representing OCH Regional Medical Center was Mr. Richard Hilton, and representing the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors was Orlando Trainer. Click here to view a full response report from both parties provided to the GSDP before the forum.
