Hail State Game Weekend Guide: September 15-17

This NEW SOUTH WEEKEND is shaping up to be epic with Cowbell Yell, Bulldog Bash, a heated rivalry with LSU and all the maroon and white shopping and dining you can handle! Welcome home, Bulldog Nation! We have a lot in store this weekend, so read on to see what’s happening, including great resources for shopping and dining. You’ll find great information and helpful links for your best game weekend yet… HAIL STATE!

 


THURSDAY, SEPT 14

 

The #HailState weekend gets started early on Thursday evening with some Bulldog favorites…

Dawg Talk with Coach Dan Mullen: 7 PM at The Veranda
Students Receive 10% Off Meal!

Cowbell Yell: 8:30 PM at Davis Wade Stadium
Enter Through Gate F beginning at 7:30 PM

FRIDAY, SEPT 15

 

Hailed as “Mississippi’s largest outdoor free concert,” Bulldog Bash, sponsored by the MSU Student Association moves to Main Street this year! The festival will feature live music on Main Street beginning 2pm Friday afternoon. Maroon Market features a variety of local artisans and indie shops, along with food vendors. Our Downtown merchants will be hosting sales and specials throughout the afternoon prior to the Main Event beginning at 7pm. SATURDAY, SEPT 16 – GAME DAY!

 

9:00am — SEC Nation LIVE From the Junction
Featuring Laura Rutledge, Tim Tebow, Marcus Spears, Paul Finebaum, and Lauren Sisler, plus appearances by Dan Mullen and the Famous Maroon Band and MSU Spirit Squads

1:00 pm  —  CSpire Fan Zone!
4:00 pm — Dawg Walk + Pregame Pep Rally
6:00 pm — Kickoff >> MSU vs. LSU

GAME WEEKEND SHOPPING

There’s plenty of time this weekend to visit your favorite Starkville shops & boutiques to find tailgating supplies and the latest styles for Saturday’s game! Upper levels wear WHITE and Lower levels were MAROON! Our Downtown merchants have something for Bulldogs of all ages! Thanks to Doodlebugs and Occasions for showing us a peek t some of their white gameday pieces!

 

Before Saturday’s contest with LSU, be sure to plan time to enjoy Starkville’s many local shops and restaurants! Our Starkville Main Street members always roll out the maroon carpet with sidewalk sales, dining and drink specials and more! This Google Map will serve as your walking tour guide!

PARKING DOWNTOWN:
Free public parking lots is available in Downtown Starkville in public lots off Jefferson and Lampkin streets, as well as street-side on Lampkin (shown in gold on map below). These allow great opportunities to explore. Two-hour parking is also available street-side in the blue designated areas below.

TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS:
Starkville offers three options for public transit to and from Davis Wade Stadium on gameday. Check out your options below, and visit SMART TRANSIT for a full list of routes, schedules and arrival times.
