The Greater Starkville Development Partnership Director of Tourism, Paige Hunt, has been named to the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Tourism Association (MTA). Hunt will serve a three-year term representing the Pines Region. In addition to her role on the Board of Directors, Hunt is serving as the association’s education committee co-chair.

The Mississippi Tourism Association serves as the voice of tourism for the state’s fourth largest industry with a stated mission to advocate, educate, promote, and support the tourism industry in Mississippi.
“The Mississippi Tourism Association’s mission is vital to the success of our state’s tourism industry, and I am honored to have been selected to the Board of Directors. I look forward to serving on the MTA Board as we work to create a healthy and vibrant tourism sector,” said Hunt.
Hunt is an experienced destination marketer who has worked at both the state and local level. She joined The Partnership in 2021 as the Director of Tourism. In her role, she works to develop and implement programs to further the vision for tourism in Starkville: Mississippi’s College Town.
Prior to joining the Partnership, she was most recently Director of Sales and Visitor Services for VisitHATTIESBURG and prior to that she was Tourism Communications Bureau Manager at Visit Mississippi.
The Partnership is comprised of the Starkville Area Chamber of Commerce, Oktibbeha County Economic Development Authority, Starkville Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Starkville Main Street Association.
