Starkville native Paige Watson has been named Special Events and Projects Coordinator for the Greater Starkville Development Partnership.
A 2009 honors graduate of Starkville High School, Watson received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 2013. In 2014 she completed her master’s degree in Advertising & Public Relations from The University of Alabama.
Watson’s previous experience includes two internships, working with the marketing department for the CMA Country Music Association in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as for Kleinfeld Bridal in Manhattan, New York. Since 2015, she has worked as the communications specialist for the MSU College of Education.

In this role, Watson is responsible for establishing and overseeing multiple special events in support of the GSDP, as well as supporting the education and sustainability of the Starkville business community and drawing thousands of visitors per year to the city by showcasing Starkville’s thriving creative scenes.

The Greater Starkville Development Partnership is comprised of the Starkville Area Chamber of Commerce, Oktibbeha County Economic Development Authority, Starkville Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Starkville Main Street Association.
