The Greater Starkville Development Partnership has announced a date and new time for its Annual Awards Banquet, which will be held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Partnership plans to premier the live stream of this year’s event on its Facebook page on Thursday, February 25th at 10:00 a.m. CST.

Chamber businesses are encouraged to watch the presentation the morning of the 25th as it broadcasts live.
This year’s event features a 20th anniversary celebration video with guest interviews, as well as the announcement of the R. Clay Simmons Exemplary Enterprise & T.E. Veitch Community Service award winners.
In addition, there will be a special presentation for Partnership Ambassadors and two additional awards will be presented by the Starkville Main Street Association.
Mike Tagert, Partnership CEO said, “The Partnership is looking forward to this year’s virtual event that will recognize our outstanding chamber businesses and community members of their well-deserved honors.”
Director of Membership Hunter Harrington said, “The annual awards banquet is something all chamber members are invited to be a part of and watch live with us as this celebrates our accomplishments throughout the year.”
Tagert added, “We encourage our chamber businesses to watch the premier of our presentation during the morning of theĀ 25th and look forward to the day we can celebrate our 20th anniversary in-person.”
An in-person event will be planned as social gatherings become safer and COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed.
