The Starkville Main Street Association has announced Starkville’s 50th annual Christmas Parade presented by Reed’s will be held on Monday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. on Main Street.
Christmas Parade Grand Marshals
Being honored as this year’s Grand Marshals are MSU’s Softball Head Coach Samantha Ricketts and Volleyball Head Coach Julie Darty Dennis in recognition of their accomplishments in the 2021-2022 seasons and their contribution to women’s sports. 2022 also signifies the 50th anniversary of Title IX.

Parade Theme
This year’s parade theme is “Christmas Movie Magic” and participants are encouraged to decorate with their favorite holiday films in mind.

The entry fee for parade participation is $25 and can be made payable online to the Starkville Main Street Association. All local and community organizations are encouraged to participate and attend.
Judging categories for this year’s event include
- Best Use of Theme,
- Best Use of Lights, and
- Best Overall Float entries.
