What’s better than three free summer concerts? Four!
Downtown at Sundown has been a huge success in Starkville this summer, so the Starkville Main Street Association is hosting one more installment at The Cadence Bank Pavilion at Fire Station Park on Friday, September 2 from 7p.m. to 9 p.m.

So far this summer, the Downtown at Sundown events have featured a variety of genres. Starting off the summer, the Oktoc Outlaws serenaded locals with classic country music. In June, the Disco Stranglers jammed the night away with some classic rock and The Flames brought hip hop and soul to the stage in July.
For the bonus event in September, attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit and hear the original sound of Honeyboy & Boots. Courtney and Drew Blackwell, the musical duo, describe their style as unique, incorporating some classical notes with traditional folk, Americana, alternative country and blues.

The Partnership sends a big thank you to Starkville Properties for sponsoring these events throughout the summer and this final occasion. The community has certainly enjoyed spending time outside hearing local musicians and gathering together again after the event’s two-year hiatus.
As always, blankets and chairs are welcome and coolers are not allowed. There will be food and beverage vendors at the event to enjoy with the live music.
