Dinner’s Ready
What’s for Dinner? provides residents of the Golden Triangle with delicious ready-to-eat food five days a week.
For almost 30 years the owner of What’s for Dinner?, Cindy Brown, has lived in Starkville. She considers our fair city her home.

Previously, Brown worked in planning and development for the town and developed a deep love for the community and its senior citizens in particular.
She went on to work for the Alzheimer’s Association and helped the senior population in an even bigger way, regularly arranging events to benefit the organization.
Brown has experienced the generosity of Starkville’s citizens firsthand.
“This is a very, very giving community,” said Brown. “It’s a great place to live.”
Brown attended Mississippi State University and later went on to obtain a hotel and restaurant management degree from East Mississippi Community College.
Originally founded in 2002, What’s for Dinner? reopened in 2018 and has been a success ever since.

Brown takes great pride in her business and works hard in order to create a special relationship with her customers.
“I have a lot of loyal customers that come back from the first time around,” Brown said.

While Brown enjoys all parts of the business, her favorite is interacting with the customers that have kept her business going strong.
“I do this because I enjoy people and love to be around them,” said Brown. “It’s fun to watch people smile.”
