For seven full days, your favorite participating Starkville restaurants will once again showcase their specialties and maybe a few new tastebud temptations to try!
The best part of Starkville Restaurant Week? When you eat, you vote! Yes, Starkville Restaurant Week is not only a showcase of our best local eateries, it will also help to shine the light on some of our best local charities.
Every time you eat at a participating restaurant during Starkville Restaurant Week, you will have the opportunity to vote for one of our Top 3 Local Charities chosen from your nominations.
The charity with the most votes at the end of the week will walk away with a check for $5,000 provided by our charity sponsor — money that will be used to do good work right here in our hometown!

CHRISTIAN WORLD MISSIONS
Christian World Missions headquarters is located in Starkville, MS and although they minister across the United States and around the world, the organization also feels that it is important to be involved in the spiritual growth of their our local community. In addition to Bible studies, worship and other events at the CWM facility, they also work with local churches for spiritual renewal events, retreats, concerts, leadership training and more.

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY

The mission of the Oktibbeha County Humane Society, Inc. (OCHS), is to promote domestic animal welfare. OCHS is based on the belief that the community has the responsibility to treat animals humanely. Its goals include providing humane education; promoting animal welfare legislation; advocating and facilitating pet sterilization; and rescuing, sheltering, and promoting adoption of abandoned animals.
OCHS PROGRAMS
• Pet PALS: Low-cost spay/neuter program
• Humane Education
• OCHS Express: OCHS operates a regional transport program, driving adoptable homeless pets from Mississippi shelters to partner shelters with an abundance of space and adopters.
• Dog Licensing: The City of Starkville requires all dogs kept in the city limits to be licensed each year.

“The Humane Society has so many animals that need care. These animals have been neglected and the shelter gives them the care that they so desperately need. Every time I go to the shelter, I notice that the cages are full and the animals need care. So many of our community have adopted animals from our shelter but there are so many more that need our help.”
“They do great work for the community, not only with the animals they have, but also helping reunite lost animals and owners. Plus they are running out of space and need more that they are currently trying to raise money for.”
UNITED WAY OF NORTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI

The United Way of North Central Mississippi is an organization comprised of dedicated volunteers from all walks of life who are committed to promoting positive change in our community. Leaders and volunteers understand that people want to make a difference where they live and work. The United Way of North Central Mississippi seeks to build partnerships that make a positive impact, focusing on producing bottom-line results that change lives and shape our community. One of more than 1,400 independent United Way organizations across America, the United Way of North Central Mississippi was established in 1979 and is chartered by the State of Mississippi as a non-profit corporation. The organization exists to meet the needs of people in Oktibbeha, Choctaw, Webster and Winston counties through its 15 member agencies, which serve the people of this area by providing a wide variety of programs and services.
